Could you at least try to clean a bit better, getting quality like this with decent raws is pathetic.
Yeah, I can’t deny that this wasn’t the best cleans we produced. Though we regularly provide much better quality.
The problem is, the only Sket raws readily available online are magazine raws. They’re less “decent” and more on the “bad” side, just almost manageable, depending on who cleans. We used to have a slightly better source, though sadly the raws stopped at a certain chapter.
If you’d like better quality, consider finding us better raws. Complaining certainly won’t do us any good.
Fucking up delicate grays has got nothing to do with ‘bad’ raws, it’s merely due to a lack of skill. I’ve seen the public raws and they’re great for mag raws, if you can’t handle them then please don’t bother and leave it for a better group.
I have yet to see this “much better quality” you speak about, the cleans of this group are LQ at best.
I’ve never understood these scanslation snobs. Gotta love people who complain so fiercely about getting something for free they legally shouldn’t be getting in the first place.
You could always go to the other scanslation group who’s actively working on Sket Dance. Oh, wait…
Oh I realize fully well that I’m being an arrogant dickhead and from what I’ve heard from some of the people that work here, it’s the only way to actually get anything done. I would be doing it myself but there are some unwritten rules in scanlation that state a group shouldn’t try to steal a series that’s already being scanlated which is why bitching about it is the only thing I can do.
If people like me , who actually know what they’re doing, weren’t bitching about quality the standard would simply decline and it would even be deemed acceptable by all you leechers. Leechers’ opinion about quality doesn’t matter in the scanlation world, what other scanlators think however should be taken seriously.
This series can and deserves to be cleaned better!
Me, join this group ? Ha, good one. I’ve heard how they work around here and how averse they are towards chance. It would merely be a waste of my time.
And to all the bullshit about series getting dropped due to people actually caring about the quality I only have one thing to say: If you can’t stand the heat get out of the fricking nuclear reactor. The scanlation world is harsh, learn to deal with it or piss off.

But then again, I’m a member of this group (and some others. I’ve worked with cleans that vary between awesome quality and “this shit could definitely be better” quality) so I should have an idea about how cleans are (though whenever cleaners are discussing stuff, it’s like alien-speak to me).
Now, I’m looking at public raws as I type this (and looking at the translated chapter). Honestly? I see no real problem with the raws (sorry Kats, just saying things. Not taking sides). Like I said, I’m in many groups, so I’ve seen how bad raws can get. I know about the quality of cleans, but I don’t know jack about cleaning, so I don’t know (and wouldn’t understand) what was done, but I can honestly say that the cleans really could have been done better… They’re not bad like you say they are, but they’re certainly not a perfect 10 either. But one thing’s for sure, they’re far from LQ. You say that the groups cleans in general are LQ at best, but if you honestly believe that, then man are you anal.
Now, I’m glad you mentioned the whole “unwritten rules of scanlation” (I myself have mentioned those tons of times), but bitching was NOT the only choice you had. I mean, I’ve seen cleaners from other groups give advice/instructions on how to improve in the past, and you could have easily done that. Heck, the best option you could’ve chosen would be to take those raws, make a few cleans, make a page comparison between your cleans and the ones in the release, and then explain how you did what you did if your results really were better.
That’s enough out of me I suppose…
